​community spirit in action!

golcar's biggest ​ever tidy up & spring clean
​

  • litter picking, pruning, weeding pavements and ginnels, painting old railings, street signs....
    ​you name it we're doing it!
  • organisations and businesses are getting involved tidying their venues and local areas
  • individuals, families and groups can all lend a hand and even organise their own spring clean on their street or ginnel
why get involved?

  • ​putting pride into our village
  • to inspire more collective action and involvement
  • coming together as a community supports a sense of wellbeing
  • people feel safer and happier in an environment that is free from rubbish and neglect
  • a chance for organisations and businesses to engage with the local community

golcar lily environment group can help you by;
​
  • publicising the work you want to do on your street or in your venue by providing leaflets, posters and through social media campaigning
  • provide you with tools and equipment; litter pickers, brushes, trowels, spades etc
  • helping deliver leaflets to get others involved with the details of your organised project

  • get in touch and tell us when and where you are doing your activity so we can put this on our website and social media
  • let us know how others can get involved
  • tell us what help you need, tools, leaflets, posters etc
  • make a pledge and tell us what you are doing to support the ggsc
